Description

The following report was written seven years ago, but I forgot to publish it. Recently, I thought back to these terrible symptoms and found the report:

In early March 2018, I had a sore throat for two weeks, including five days that were “hell” and the worst sore throat I had ever had in my life. It started very slowly and increased to its maximum within five days, with the pain mainly on the left side and spreading to the left jaw and left ear upon swallowing. All the home remedies I knew failed to relieve the pain, and even the painkillers had very limited effect. Local anesthetics did not reach the painful area and even caused temporary paralysis of a swallowing muscle, which only made things worse. The only thing that helped a bit was applying ice to a large area on the outside, sucking on ice cubes, and gargling cold water deep down in my throat. It seemed like I was dealing with some serious swelling inside my throat.

Because every swallow was torture, after three of the worst five days, I experienced an almost complete blockage, so I couldn't eat or drink anything for the next two days, not even painkillers. I spit into glasses day and night so that I only had to swallow every half hour—which I always feared. I couldn't sleep for days, nor could I speak (because of the increased pain).

Again, I was infinitely grateful to know about 5BN: even though I couldn't predict how long it would last this time, I recognized the beginning of the PCLB phase (see below) one day after the blockage began. That made me realize that relief was near, even though it took an extra day to get there. My emergency plan was to go to the doctor the next day for an IV, because by then the dehydration would probably be dangerous. Luckily, that wasn't necessary.
Thanks to 5BN, I also didn't have to worry about potential complications from postulated pathogens, but only had to concentrate on managing the pain until the PCLA phase was over (which in most cases lasts a maximum of 3 weeks).

Analysis

When symptoms begin slowly and intensify over several days, this usually indicates the conflict was not resolved suddenly by a major event, but rather gradually over a longer period of time. It must also have been intense, so it must have been an issue that occupied me for a long time.

This massive swelling inside the larynx indicates new mesodermal tissue, as this is the tissue that swells the most. As the pain also became more intense when speaking, I suspected that the left arytenoid cartilage, to which the vocal cords are attached, was the affected tissue. The function of this cartilage is to position the vocal cords for sound production. The content of the conflict or the conflictive feeling has not yet been further researched, but based on its function, it must be something like this: “Failing to produce the right sounds” or “producing the wrong tone and not adjusting the tone flexibly enough.”
The situation in this context where I felt this way is clear:

Since November 2017, our son, who was just 3 years old at the time, had been going through a phase of intense outbursts of anger, during which he would yell at us whenever we said “no” to something. We had a number of arguments during this time, and afterwards I kept blaming myself because I felt I hadn't found the right tone to support him in these difficult situations – and instead became irritated and angry myself.
Now I've read a few books and gotten lots of great new insights into why our son has these anger outbursts and how to respond in a more loving and effective way. Especially “Das gewünschteste Wunschkind aller Zeiten treibt mich in den Wahnsinn” (The most wanted child ever is driving me crazy) had some great suggestions and examples.

Things started to get a bit better, but then he started playfully throwing himself with all his weight onto his younger, 7-month-old brother, causing him to panic more and more. And again, at first, he wouldn't listen to any reasonable arguments. Despite this, we managed to bring positive change this time with better communication techniques. We were not very successful with the rages, which triggered my SBS, but with this new problem, we were much more successful thanks to the additional knowledge from the books, so that the intensity of the SBS continued to decrease. At the beginning of March, I watched with joy and relief how our two sons played hide-and-seek together for a long time without the oldest throwing himself on top of the youngest. After four months, the conflict was finally resolved for me.

Even though I understood the connections, I couldn't estimate how long the symptoms would last because the SBS didn't run continuously at the same intensity, but rather intensely at times and then less intensely other times. After four days of maximum symptoms, I noticed that mucus was beginning to loosen in my larynx. This made me pretty sure that the PCLB phase had begun, because this is when the swelling is reduced and metabolic waste products are excreted with mucus. Unfortunately, the symptoms worsened again for another day, probably because the mucus formation created additional space. But then suddenly a huge, disgusting lump of mucus came loose! Instantly, 70% of the pain was gone and I was “healthy” 🙂 At least the sore throat was now suddenly within the normal, tolerable range, where drinking tea and all the home remedies provide relief.

An interesting detail: shortly before the PCLB phase began, I had a large purulent aphtha on the left side at the back of my endodermal, submucosal oral mucosa. The conflict content for the left side is: “Not being able to spit something out.” It was probably a local follow-up conflict, as I couldn't swallow my spit for days and always collected it in my mouth for a long time – contrary to the urge to swallow it down normally or at least spit it out quickly. Obviously, I just wanted to get rid of it unconsciously. Since my tongue had become rougher and more painful the day before due to “collecting spit,” I changed my technique a bit and spat out more often, among other things. This resolved this small local follow-up conflict. It is also possible that the deeper, endodermal mucous membrane in the larynx area also reacted as a local conflict, and that purulent degradation processes were involved in the resolution, which then resulted in the large lump of mucus that suddenly came loose.

Note: Have you also had exciting experiences with the 5BL? If so, it would be great if you could send us an anonymized report so that we can publish it in the archive and everyone can benefit from your experiences. Thank you very much!
